Short bio
I have been an associate professor at EPITA in the MNSHS team of the LRE since October 2022. From March 2021 to September 2022, I was an associate professor at EPITECH in the MNSHS laboratory. From 2017 to August 2019, I was a post-doctoral fellow financed by the Move-in Louvain - Marie Curie programme, in the CASPER at the University Saint-Louis - Brussels. From 2016 to 2017, I was a research engineer in the digital humanities for the CPER Numeric at the University of Poitiers.
I defended my thesis in EXPERICE at Sorbonne Paris Cité University (under the supervision of Gilles Brougère) in Decembre 2015, after a master’s degree in master in education, leisure and play sciences at Paris 13 University (under the supervision of Gilles Brougère) and a master’s degree in sociology at Paris Descartes University (under the supervision of Olivier Schwartz).
My research interests are particularly focused on gambling practices, both from the point of view of playing and leisure; addiction and mental health; deviance and criminality; and education, socialisation and informal learning. My fieldwork is based primarily on ethnographic, qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
